First attempt

This is my first real go at photographing something that hasn't got four wheels, four legs or wings (managed to get a set of wings in there though)

Whoa.... that's red!

Nice shot Eric and you've caught a lovely expression there. The space behind her is doing nothing for the shot so I'd lose it

Thanks CT Your edit looks much better than mine Any idea why mine turned out a bit warm?....ok a lot warm Colour was straight from the camera.

Could be the contrast or saturation settings in your camera if you're shooting jpegs? I prefer to set everything to off, including sharpening, for a neutral result.

If you're shooting RAW it shouldn't matter of course.

Edit... then again it could be the colour management settings in your editing package.

I'll have to explore the cameras settings then If I don't post for a while it's because I've done something wrong and can't work out why my camera will only take B&W photographs that are up side down
