Birds are the one thing ive kept away from shooting since ive had my camera... purely because they're a pain in the rear to try and get!! First attempt though... im quite happy I got it looking straight at me really.

pretty good in my view. And you even managed that glint in the eye. Looks very nice, well done.
I am sure more will follow. It can be pretty addictive I must say :)

I've been thinking recently about selling my gear because I haven't had the motivation to go out and use my camera much... finding different things has been good and to get good comments back is great so thanks. :)
 
Nice picture, but surely that is not a ring on the owls leg - it looks more like a tether point?
 
It's for when they tie it up I think.

Thanks Tina, appreciate it. Was probably the best I got really... completely underestimated how hard they'd be go catch. Handheld at 400mm my lens was waving all over the place!
