Ok so some say its been done to death, but this was the product of my first attempt.

Lighting was a Samsung SEF36PZF in one of the softboxes Flash in The Pan is selling, one 1/4 power, 90 degrees camera left up above a pint pot.

I had great fun, its very addictive!!

Let me know what you think, these were the best 10 out of 200 taken!!

Cheers!

Rob

top tip...Use babyoil...

Cheers! Can't say I own any so will have to buy some.

Pretty darn good effort!! I don't care how many times I see 'em, Love the water shots and these are good, have you tried putting a coloured background behind? or dropping dye into the water? Both great fun but well done on your first effort!!!

Now lets see some smoke shots! That's equally addictive.

Cheers Nigey, glad you like em. I've not tried any backgrounds as yet.
This was a real diy cutting my teeth kinda go. The black background is a box file and it was done with a pint pot of water, set on the coffee table. For a dropper I use an eye drops bottle and to focus used the tip of a cocktail stick. Nothing fancy!!!

Look good to me. Ive never tried them before but im guessing its hard to do well

Super effort! It is amazing what happens when you vary the liquid, background, underneath - makes for some incredible shots - also the shutter speed too!
