Beginner First film camera ever (or for many years)

Glad this thread has been revived.

My first camera was a Brownie 127, sadly it no longer survives, I dropped it and it cracked and was no longer light tight.

Here I am sporting the Kodak 127 camera, in its case.

Possibly the first camera I used was a Conway 120 format roll film camera, though, on a holiday to Morecambe with my grand parents etc...

My grandfather bankrolled me for a Halina 35X, so I could take it on a school holiday to the IOM.

We owe so much to the Brownies and many other 'box' type cameras for recording our families' histories in a way that had never been available to previous generations.

Unfortunately, most of the pictures that turn up have no date on them or any reference as to who the people are.

In my case most of the pictures I have are 'family', two generations ago but no-one still survives to identify them.

My grandparents and parents ( All now long departed ) used to write the date and names on the back of the prints.
