First time uploading / displaying my images on these forums, very new to taking bird images so any critique would be great.

Good set. What lens are you using? I am still attempting to master my 100-400mm.
 
Thanks. You must have had a good viewing position then, especially to get #1. I like that lens as good general purpose zoom. Cheers.
 
A good set of pics there.

They are sharp and lovely colours, but I cant help feeling with them all that there is something in the composition that detracts from them being STUNNING.

But thats just my take on them.

Either way they are all very good shots of the birds... (y)
 
Hi and welcome. Three sharp captures with the Goldfinch being the pick of the bunch. You do not really need telling why the other two failed to make the grade ;) Which is a real pity as #1 of the Sparrow could have been a corker. Look forward to seeing some more (y)
