First Kingfisher this Year another pic added

It's well composed and nice and large in the farme but too soft for me.

I know it's down to the poor lighting and shutter speed but not up to the very high standard of the others on your flickr.

Having said that, I've never seen a kingfisher in real life never mind shot one so well done anyway :)

Having been to a local reserve recently and feeling totally inadequate with my 300mm lens. Let alone my inability to capture a sharp shot due to the weather conditions, I'm very envious of anyone that gets a decent shot of this bird. There is obviously room for improvement, but its still a very nice shot considering. Well Caught. Jan

Well done on the first capture of the year john #2 for me (y) the weather looks pants as you say, #1 is quite noisy and just wondered why you chose F8?

Is it me or does Kingy look down in the dumps.

Well done John - I can imagine how bad that light was. At the least the fact that there are young there is encouraging.

Having said that, I've never seen a kingfisher in real life

Nor have I...... I am still not sure that they DO really exist........

Just got round to posting not much you can do when the elements are against you :bang:

2 reasonable images though and at least you saw one (y)

Regards

Richard
