First night shots

Took my newly acquired (car boot sale £8),30 year old,Nikon 50mm 1.8 E for some night shots tonight,getting the manual settings done in the dark is a bind but I think it'll be worth it when I get used to it.

Mono works best for me as doesnt matter about lights been blurry.

Thanks James,All those strung lights were blowing about and shaking the lamp posts,a tripod did'nt make much difference,still,it was only an experiment with an ancient lens.

Cant complain for £8! My only gripe is its a little blury, apart from that it has potential :)
 
Thanks Jim? Bob?,Yes,the overall blurryness(is that a word?)was a problem in a few others I took last night.Focusing with glasses on may be the root problem.As yet I dont have any soft wear to deal with problems(other than the one that came with the camera,which is limited in what it can do.)Trying to get half decent shots without resorting to 'tweaking'.
