First picture with new lens

Just taken delivery of new Sigma 24-70 2.8 macro (thanks Pete - it's a cracker). Think I may have overdone the dof but any comments on this gratefully appreciated..

Not bad for a 1st shot, but the ligting is a little distracting. Also the DOF fades a little too earl IMHO.

Nice start Phil ... ... I rather think you have underdone the DoF imgo ... although that may have been the effect you wanted of course ...

The white background is very bright too ... :shrug:

i like it to and if the b/g was a nice sky blue it would perfect imo.
i would like to see more as this lens was on my list some time ago.
