First portrait shots with the 85mm f1.4 and Godox AD-B2 twin flash

Did a mini portrait shoot in the park yesterday to try out my new lens and flash setup.

Total novice with this sort of shoot so please be gentle

I like them all. it could probably be argued that the flash is a bit high in 1 & 4, but it makes the images bright & youthful which (I think) adds to them.

Lovely colour and composition on all bar #1 which could stand to lose a bit of emptiness above the head and a bit more space to camera right where your subject is looking. The pout isn't working for me in #1 (but it totally works in #2 because of the youngster)
I'd also be inclined to get in a shade closer and lower in #4 as there feels like quite a bit of dead space around the subject. Obviously if that was intended I'll shut up.

Overall though, they're really nice.

A first go? Very nice indeed!

I'm not totally sold on the framing.. a lot of folk when they first come to portraiture start by framing heads very centrally and cropping limbs.
