Critique First time out for a couple of years...

The first time I've picked up a camera for about two years, I shot a few of my Mrs in Houston last week.

Critique more than welcome.

I like the backlighting and the dof, however, the overall shot seems underexposed.. ? Maybe some fill flash would help too, but I do like the off centre composition

Ditto.. nice light & pose but it is rather dark. Either add some exposure compensation and let the highlights blow or add some light - fill flash, reflector, whatever.
fwiw I'd probably crop the chap on the right.

I agree with the under exposed thing.

This was straight out of the camera and wasn't posed - just a "street photo" so to speak - but I didn't want to blow out the highlights. I guess I'll have to re-learn photoshop.

I like the image itself and the 'unposed' quality to it. Fill light would have exposed the face whilst keeping the hair from blowing out. Assuming you shot this in raw, adjustment brush in photoshop will enable you to bring the exposure up on the face after bringing the exposure up slightly on the overall image. There is a strong orange cast to it too, but that can also be adjusted via PS. But as I said before, i like the image itself.
