First try at close up ...... Fungii

Don't laugh.

Drastically trying to learn digital photography.
Here's my first attempt at close up, a Tree Fungii ......

Taken with a Nikon D80 and 18 - 200mm VR lens.
Castle Eden Dene, dark lighting this morning.

Nothing to laugh at :shrug: it's well lit and nice colours (y) I would maybe crop the right hand side to lose the stalks as they don't seem to add anything to the image :)

Hi - I agree, nothing to laugh at. YOu have done well with the lighting, colour and sharpness so you are ok there, so concentrate a bit more on the actual composition of the fungi. Fungi are difficult to do them justice so you have to move around them a bit and see what angle they really shine from.
