Beginner First try, Blakeney Norfolk

Tried out astrophotography for the first time this evening. Need alot more practice but was quite happy with this one.

Struggled abit with focusing to infinity as I'm still trying to get my head around it. The settings for the sky exposure were f/2.5 ISO 2000

Canon 6D
Sigma 35mm f/1.4

Blakeney Point? I see a Mazda! Focussing to infinity should be easy, just twist the focus ring to the infinity position. Are there any beached boats you could use as your subject instead that would be more in line with your image title?

I googled best astro places in Norfolk and this particular car park in Wiveton came up a number of times, was merely just to give it a go

Focussing to infinity should be easy,

Often lenses go past inifinity so it might not be that easy. One approach is to zoom in on live view and then manually focus until a star is the smallest dot you can get
