Fish eye lens / adapter

I've been asked to take a couple of pics of our cricket club ground for the club website and thought sabout taking one using the effect a fish eye lens one give.
I don't want to buy one as it wouldn't get used enough to waarant the expense so just wondered if there was a cheap alternative around maybe an adaptor to go on a normal lens or a filter type implement that would give the same effect.

Plenty on ebay and amazon, but they really are carp!
 
What are you shooting with?
 
plus 18-55 kit lens?
 
I've seen the things on ebay and thought that they are to cheap to be any good so kept clear of them

The nifty fifty won't give you the WA that you want or need.
Your 18-55 would be better, depending on the angle position you can get when taking the pic. You will need to choose carefully.
A mate of mine bought one of THESE The results are acceptable, but not brilliant. Raynox is the only one of the cheaper 'add-on' lenses that I would trust.
 
Probably better to take a panorama.. or buy a Samyang 8mm f/3.5 manual focus lens, they are cheap, good and wiiiiiide :)
