Fish Eye lens advice please

Looking into purchasing a fish eye for a canon camera. Any recommendations? max budget around £300 mark..

What I don't want is that black ring or square around the frame that you get with adapters etc and you always have to edit them afterwards, just a plain simple clean shot

I'm on the iPhone so can't see what camera you have, but if it's a crop then get the samyang, it's great!!

I used them with both Nikon & canon crops and loved them!!!!

On a crop body, the Samyang 8mm manual focus is definitely the way to go!

Don't think they mean you have to crop the pictures.

What camera do you have?

Haha yes, we mean the size of the sensor in the camera.

If you have anything other than a 5D or a 1ds you'll have a crop sensor.

The samyang will work on a crop sensor and give you a full photo.

If you use the samyang on a FULL FRAME sensor camera, you will get a round photo in a black frame.

That's correct, the samyang will give you great photos on the 400d

Yeah I had to get pretty close... was a bit hairy scary but you can find them on dartmoor!

Sigma does a 8mm full frame fisheye, but of course it's quite a bit more expensive than the Samyang.

I know, and the canon 15mm, they're all just silly money!
The samyang @ around £200 was nice to have to play with.

I might keep an eye out for a sensibly priced 15mm FD

Top and bottom ones of my shots were taken on a 5D - you just have to crop. Not the end of the world.

Hmm interesting, from what I had seen though it looked like a pretty hefty crop required though?

On my 5D it leaves you with around a 6MP image.
