Fisheye. . . .advice

hi peeps,

I purchased a Lumix G2 at the start of the year and have loved using it every second so far... But im really into my bikes and urban night shots and would like to get a different perspective on things. . I love the fisheye effect, so have decided thats my next challenge. . .

Thing is i really dnt understand the terminology, numbers and sizes. . .

Theres proper lenses, attachment lenses...prices from £20 to 1000. . . . Wide angle , super wide angle... Macro?

Can someone just shed some light on how i go about choosing the right one. . .

Im not made of money, and idealy was just looking to purchase an add on for my standard 14-42 lens. . .

any advice would be great

Hi im not over familiar with the lumix range i use canon!, There is a manufacturer called samyang, they do a brill 8mm fisheye for canon and pretty sure there will be an equivalent for your camera.
As regards to lenses, the smaller the mm the wider it is, at very wide angles you will begin to see Barrel distortion in the picture (Staight lines appear curved) Photoshop can recover this though. Macro is for extreme close up and detail such ad small insects and flowers.
I would opt for a nice short zoom of something around 17-85mm range as that will cover the majority of scenarios., and remember if you planning on night shoots a tripod and remote release are essential
