Fisheye lens adapter for kit lens?

So i am looking at trying to find a purpose for my kit lens, now that im getting a 18-200mm for everyday use.
I have seen a number of fisheye adapters which screw onto the 52mm thread and was wondering if i should get one and in turn use this on the kit 18-55mm Nikon lens.

I like the idea and concept of wide angle photography and thus before paying out on an expensive lens believe this would be an ideal way to give it a go?
I have seen the adapters range from £20 to £100 and would like to know what the difference is between these and if there are any negatives to using such an item on my kit lens?

Buy the cheapest and see if fisheye works for you (you'll need to learn how to handle this crazy feild of view), if yes then buy a proper fisheye, buying expensive adaptors is waste of money.

Ok so having a quick look which would give the most rotation on the image a 0.25x or 0.45x based on a 18-55mm Nikon DX lens?
