Ok all what is the best fixed lens camera out in camera world, i know you are all going to say depends what its for depends how much you want to spend, so lets say

£300:

£500:

Reason im asking, I have been to the O2 twice and both times had great views but was refused permission to take my Canon EOS inthe arena because "it has a detachable lens and is therfore a profeesional camera" :bang:

Please help as I really need to get somthing before mid December. :)

Would a bridge camera get through - is so maybe one of these.

Sorry I don;t know enough to truly comment.

Manics at The O2 by any chance?! I'm going there for that.

I think a bridge would be best. My GF got questioned with my bridge when we went to see Killers at Cardiff, but we got through after convincing the door staff it wasn't a "professional" camera.

To be honest, I've more or less given up taking photos at gigs as I spend too much time concentrating on the shot and not the music!

The first time I went, I had mine taken off me (much to my dismay). Next time, it was in my wife's handbag. Woot woot.

Fuji GW690 III, can't beat the image quality of a 6 x 9 ! it is film though.

I wonder what they would say about a micro four thirds body like a GF2? It uses "interchangeable lenses" but it's not really any bigger than many fixed lens "bridge" cameras.
