Wonderful idea 
I think I have a good idea how this was done and it's a very smart idea 
I would like to see a little more space at the top and bottom as I don't like the fact that the flame a the top it cut off and it also looks like you have the beginning of a good reflection there so that could also be incorporated

Not much more to add, apart from I'd also prefer to see more space top and bottom - i.e. a portrait format shot, with egg on centre line of the shot. Oh - and personally, and not wishing to get into a "Swiftian" dispute, I'd also prefer to see the egg "little end up"
