Taken today during a BBQ.

Reasonably close! Had a mate hold a bit of black card behind the BBQ. Could only use the top parts of the flames in the image otherwise I would have had the grill in view!

Good effort in my opinion. Flames will always look soft I think so it's very hard to do.
