Hi I use these. They are very tough and come with an adapter screw on or the just slip onto the top of any standard light stand.

I'm not sure they'll fit the smaller spigots at all. Read the thread in my post and you'll find a whole string of "these are the adaptors I use" followed by the OP's frustrated replies at no-one understanding what he's actually asking

Hi Dave remember when i picked them up i said i had a home made adapter to fit them, (ex-Plumber) just looking for the cheapest flash brolly mounts, 1/4" the adapter is welded onto the end of the light stands you gave me, it gives an extra 2" of workable height. just require the screw tight flash/brolly mounts. also i have created a second backdrop stand using them, with 2" waste pipe and 1.3/4" waste pipe so one slides into the other, a hole at each end, a usable extending cross member for the backdrop to slide onto total cost £4.85 pence, so if i require i can have a white backdrop and black set up on two stands, the use the koing ones for flash/brolly, and my others for flashheads and softboxes.
