Can anyone tell me what flash cord I should be buying for my canon 450d I have a 430exii flash I am looking to add the cord to help in my macro photos as well as general photography do i go for a canon brand or another make?

the only cord that would work would be a ttl cord, neither a 450d or a 430EXII have pc ports. Canon do one but I think any will do (don't quote me on the last bit)

Canon's own off camera cord is the OC-E3 think it retails about the £50 mark, but pretty much any third party will allow ttl but the prices don't change much Nissin do one for around £45. i think thats correct someone phoned my shop earlier enquiring.

The HK Ebay ones (usually by YongNuo) are about £20, delivered on Ebay and do the job fine

I already have a YongNuo one (excellent piece of kit too. In fact I'm convinced it is Canon in all but name), but I could use another and thought if Jessop's where doing them for under £20 I get one, but as I say, I can't find one on Jessop's site for anywhere near £20. Just thinking perhaps Paul-H knows something I don't.

Anyone know if (or has) these leads can be successfully daisy chained together?

That was one of the reasons I wanted another. To be honest, I see no reason why not as the end the flash fits to replicates the hotshoe of the camera. The other alternative is to simply buy a longer one of course. It would have to be ebay again though.

might only be able to daisy chain so far before signal degradation gets to be a problem, cat 5 can only be run to 100m without a booster, but more connections is worse than more cable
for like 2 or 3 cables it 'should' be fine but running a dozen across a studio might not work

not to mention expensive at £20 a go
