Flash Diffuser

I am about to get a speedlite and think I'll need a diffuser for it.
Now Sto-Fen Omni-Bounce are about £15, yet I can get something looking the same from eBay at £2.
Would I just be paying for a brand name with a Sto-Fen or I'm I missing something that makes them worth 7 time the price.

They seem the same to me. - IMHO

Have you looked at the Gary Fong? I find it better - and they have an ebay equivalent from hong kong - which I'm just waiting to arrive as a backup for my original

Bite the bullet and get a Fong. Overpriced, but the best diffuser on the market IMO, and will give you the best results you're likely to get from a single on -camera flash.

I use a sto fen and find the results to be far better with it on than without it fitted.
I've never used a fong, but a pro tog I did a short course with swore by it.

either diffuser will be better than the bare flash output.
