i'm looking for some advice.

I've never been much of a flash user. In the last 10 years I've probably used my on camera flash (400D) as a necessity a handful of times, and a manual off camera flash another few times.

I'm planning to upgrade to a 6D at some point soon, as it doesn't have an on camera flash I think I should probably get one that I can use occasionally, and if I'm going to do that I might want to try out a few things...

I won't have much money to spend, but then I'm not looking for something to use every day.

I'm thinking an OK flash, with E TTL transmitter and receiver, maybe something like:

I can't find the receiver/transmitter pair I found the other day, but it didn't seem too expensive.

I'm also thinking that getting a cheap transmitter and receivers with some smaller cheap flashes might be useful for background uplighting or similar...

Interested in peoples thoughts. I'd obviously much rather spend lots of money, but I'd quite like to spend under £150 for everything, preferably under £100, if I find I'm using it all a lot I can then spend some more money.

Flash is a good choice, for triggers to go with the flash have a look at the yn622 tx and yn622c.
 
It's probably worth budgeting for something like a Roguewave flashbender - or eBay copy - too, as that will really enhance what you can do with flash, as well as a stand and some decent batteries (e.g. Eneloop) and a charger. If money is really tight then you could save some pennies by forgoing the ETTL and getting the YN 560 IV and a cheaper trigger instead.

:plus1:Also look at the YN560iii and YN560 TX, no TTL but will give you more control over the Flash, can also control up to 6 separate groups
 
Thanks. I looking at getting something like the flashbender, diffuser, and some gels (thinking fireside photos with orange light) cheap from a Chinese importer.... If I find them useful then get better ones, if I end up but using them much then I've bit wasted much.
