Flash for d3100 question

Im keen to try out flash for the first time and am looking for advice. I will use it for various kinds of photography and think I need ttl. Being able to trigger it off camera would be nice too. I am looking to spend £50 or thereabouts.

I have been looking at getting the Jessops 360afd second hand. Does this sound like a good idea for what I need? I would be grateful for any other recommendations.

That is probably your best bet for your budget. Bear in mind, if you want to flash it off camera you will need a cord for it and Jessops own brand cord is pushing up £30. But I'm sure a cord could be found elsewhere for cheaper.

Thank you. I havent put much thought into the cord yet, so thanks for pointing that out. Ill have to keep my eye on ebay.
