My macro lens arrived this week - loving it, it's so much fun! But it's very quickly becoming clear I need an external flash. I'm using the pringles tube diffuser for the time being. :)

I know nothing about external flashes. What would be the best bang for buck flash for macro?
 
ringflash is the optimum solution...

There are all kinds of crazy ways to use a standard flash with reflectors / deflectors etc...
 
Been looking at some of the macro rigs people have come up with. Some creative solutions! :)
