At the moment I can't justify the cost of a top end Nikon flash unit so wondering if I'm better going for a cheaper Nikon (something like an SB300) or going for a non-Nikon branded item - perhaps a Neewer VK750 from Amazon - any views?
I have a genisis 692 from calumet a gloxy f990 both ttl and nikon sb900 (all for sale in the classifieds lol) and to be honest the gloxy is the best value new or 2nd hand, the 692 is ok but the menu is a bit unclear.
Look at the Shanny SN600SN, I've had mine for a week now, it's replaced my old SB-600 and so far can't fault it. Reviews are good. Was only £64.00 with free shipping from Amazon.
The only minor issue I have is finding out what make/model of flash guns push on diffuser will fit it, none I've looked at on-line give dimensions.
