Sorry, lazy I know... quick question...

If I stick the flash on ETTL, camera on manual with medium aperture and say 1/80th shutterspeed inside in the evening, will the flash automatically produce enough light for correct exposure? Then I can use the +/- dial on the back of the flash to adjust if my pic is over/under exposed?

Is there a max ammount of light it can produce? ie: if I shot f/22 1/2500 in a dark room would it struggle?

depends on what you want to be lit-up.
using ettl, the camera will expose for the subject.

changing either the aperture or the ISO will allow you to being more of the surrounding up in light.

setting your shutter speed to expose for any (requried) ambient will help reduce the bat-cave effect of bright subjects and dark/black backgrounds.

For night time, fairly close up stuff (full length). I use either 250 at 5.6 or 160 at F8. If I need the flash to recycle fast, I will go for the 5.6 option. I also manual focus at night, well actually I pre-focus my lens at a certain focal length and tape the lens up.
