Flash triggers

I’ve got some Yongnuo triggers/receivers that I used to use on a canon 6D to operate a couple of Lencarta smart flashes. I’ve just ordered a canon r50 and believe that these are not compatible with the new hotshoe, my question is what is the most budget friendly option to operate these flashes? Buy a new trigger set or an adapter? I’m on a tight budget as just getting back into the hobby. Any help is appreciated!

I'd wait and check them first. You should get manual triggering at the very least, but maybe not TTL.

AFAIK, the only current solution for syncing strobes with the R50 is to get the Canon AD-E1 to convert the multifunctional shoe into a traditional shoe. Or, I suppose you could get the EL-5 speedlight and sync them optically if you also have need for an on-camera flash.

Sorry, my mistake.

I was wrongly assuming that it would at least have a central point connector.
