Hi Guys,

I don't have a flash, and I was wondering if it is worth buying one?

I don't think I would have a major use for one, but I guess most people have one, plus I think I would like to look into portrait work and possibly nightclub photography.

If so, which flash do you guys suggest?

A few people seem to have one of the Jessops guns? Or a used 430?

Go for the 430 ex II ............ a good flash to get you started .... or if you have enough funds, the 580 exII (bigger and more powerful)
 
OK.. I would recommend reading Hot Shoe Diaries by Joe McNally, he is a Nikon user, but plenty of ideas for lighting this or that.. not always people either.. I never had much use for one, then I got one (a Jessops) with my D300. and It started to influence my photography..

I would save some money by getting a Yongnuo or two with RF602 triggers. Around a hundred quid all together.. it will open up all sorts of creative possibilities...
