Hi all, another question, has anyone got any experience of the yongnuo flash guns?, and what are your thoughts?. Thanks

No one

Have a look in the lighting section, pretty sure there is talk about them in there somewhere.

Ok Tom cheers

Also check out the Nissins. I have two di622's and they are both fine. Under £100 from 7dayshop.

Obviously I'm new to all this, but would you invest in a flash, or, go for a nikon 50mm f1.8?

Hmm, depends really. A flash has a steeper learning curve, so you may be better off getting to grips without one before starting on that, but at the same time why not learn straight away.
The 50mm 1.8 is a great lens to have and opens up a lot of low light stuff and DOF control, but it depends on what you shoot. If you are going to use it, then its a good investment. If its going to sit in a bag looking pretty, then it isnt.

Drop Yongnuo into the search function on the forum and you've got eight pages of hits to choose from covering the flashguns and the triggers.

I've got a few Yongnuos, cheap, reliable.. but there's such a variety of models now available it's getting difficult to generalise. They are available as manual, TTL and in a variety of power/feature combinations.
