What an incredibly annoying thing this is!!

I've switched from pc with Vista, to new pc with Windows 7, and there seems to be a real conflict with Flash player.
Clips would not play with windows 7, 64 bit. I Googled this and it seems it's a common problem. I changed to running on 32 bit (as suggested), and clips will play once then crash.
No amount of updating/uninstalling/reinstalling/updating seems to cure this.

I did read that changing the OS would help, (currently IE) to maybe Safari.

Anyone got any ideas?
 
Flashplayer is one of the biggest POS software out at the moment, its buggy unreliable tat that updates are released what seems like every other day and you need to be an admin to install which is a nightmare to administer at a smb level.

In answer to your question there is a flash cleaner/remove package you can download, try that then reinstall flash as an admin.
 
I get unexplained problems with flash - no idea why, never managed to solve them. Try reinstalling flash - and also try using a couple of different browsers. Chrome, Firefox, IE all use slightly different versions of flash, so try that and see if you can get it to play.

You may also want to try the 64bit Flash beta (All stable releases of flash are 32 bit)
 
I haven't been able to get 4OD to work for months... it's not their website, but I can't think of what else it can be except flash.

Many embedded systems are developing their UIs now in Flash (or at least a version aimed for embedded products). Flash will be around for a while ;)

Doesn't stop it being on an annoyance level right there with javascript ;)
