In a month I will be going to China on a work jolly, where gear is significantly cheaper (eg in Feb, I got a new Nikor 55-200mm VR for £80). I am thinking about purchasing a flash, but to be honest don't know too much about them. I plan on going armed with a list of two or three flashes, knowing how much they would cost from Amazon etc. and picking up the best bargain I can. I want to use it for:
1. Fill-in flash
2. Low light indoor photography
3. Macro
I guess it needs to have a rotatable head, a diffuser and a hotshoe attachment so that I can place it away from the camera (or be wireless). The macro is still very much at an experimental stage and it might come to it that I get light into the shot in a different way (eg bank of LEDs). It needs to be compatible with a D5100. What flashes should I consider, and why?
