hi guys,

i found an old olympus T32 electronic flash yesterday in our attic and noticed that it had a port where a cable went. the flash mounts onto the hotshoe of my d300s perfectly, but i was wondering if i would be able to use it as an off-camera flash? i cannot find the cable that goes in it though. Also, my dad had a starblitz 160M flash and i was wondering if this too could be used as an off-camera flash?

thanks

Oscar ;)

I'd be careful putting it on the hotshoe. From what I can see the T32 isn't a high voltage flash but you may still run the risk of damaging your D300s if the trigger voltage is more than the camera can handle.

thanks for the advice
i have just looked somewhere where it says the the trigger voltage of the T32 is between 7.4 and 11.3V, but do not know what the D300s can handle. Would I fond this out by contacting Nikon?
thanks

Oscar ;)
