im after a flashgun for my canon 60d cant afford a proper canon one but i have been looking at the Yongnuo YN565EX.
im just wondering if this could be fired off camera and what trigger would i need for this if it is able to.
You can fire it off camera just from the camera flash, but if you're wanting to be working outdoors in daylight then I'd recommend a YN622tx and a YN622 transceiver.
Can't help you directly, but have you thought about a 2nd hand Canon 430EX Flash ? wouldn't have thought it was much more than the one your after - possible option if you would prefer a Canon flash

I have the 565EX. I find it to be brilliant. It does fire off camera using the cameras pop up flash, but as Phil suggests the 622's are a good choice for outdoor use.
