Flashgun + Umbrella uses

Hey just wondering what uses/locations people have for a wireless flashgun and umbrella on a stand other than a 'studio portrait' setup. (and cover from the rain )
Being more portable than a softbox and battery or something...
Anyone use this setup for outside work etc?
