You are not alone as we do get this every breeding season here ... ;) ... Robins are one of those few birds where the youngsters bear absolutely no resemblance to their parents ... :shrug: ... it is probably a safety factor providing them camouflage in their first few months as they spend most of their time deep in the shadows of the undergrowth being fed by their parents ... :D ... they also have a very distinctive whirring feeding noise as their parents shove grub into their gaping orifices ... :eek:
