Basically i do all the photography for a friends business, he converts VW T4's and T5's (http://www.newwavecustomconversions.co.uk/) and he wants to have an album on his iPad to show people photos of the work he does.

At the moment i put all his updates in a set on flickr then he picks which ones he wants to be used on his website.

Is there an app that will connect to Flickr and download an album/set to use when not connected to the net?

Will FlickStackr do this?

Thanks.

What's wrong with him just adding the images he wants to an album via itunes?

If it were me, I'd edit a set of the images with the ipad in mind. 1024x768 @132dpi to get the maximum in sharpness and detail. (personally I save as 2048 on the longest side to allow a zoom in)

if you're uploading to his flickr, or you allow him to log in as you, he can save the flickr image directly into the photo folder on the ipad....... I know I can save mine to the ipad that way.

He doesnt want to mess about with syncing from his PC or saving each image from the web as theres hundreds now, just wants something that will sync to flickr or a webhosting which i can upload to which he can view at any time.

im not aware of an app that does what you mention for offline viewing, i would prefer a specific portfolio app like padfolio.

presumably the images that he has chosen are readily available so shouldnt be too hard or time consuming to give them to him on disk to sync up.
