Before I set up a Flickr account. Can someone briefly explain if its possible to include all members of TP, but restrict access to others ?

If I want to submit / include photographs to TP is Flckr my best bet or are there any other options?

You can make the photos private on Flickr and link to them here, meaning that they won't show up in your flickrstream, but will still be visible to anyone here on TP.

I'm still struggling to get started with this. I have had a look on how to use the forum thread but haven't found it.

Does anyone know a link that will give me a bit more information on how to do this / get me started ?

Which bit are you struggling with, Nick..

The private bit, or the posting images on the forum bit?
 
I have been to the external Flickr home page and shouldn't have a problem setting it up.

I am not sure how to link it to my Talk Photography profile so only forum members can view my images / details etc.
 
You can't.

You set your images as private and then you can share them by placing them onto the forum as normal. People on the forum will eb able to see them, bit noone will be able to click through and look at them on Flickr.

You could set them to visible by Contacts only (as a semi-private option), but you would then have to make individual Flickr-Forum members Contacts so that they could also see the photos on Flickr as well.
 
You edit the permissions for the photos in your flickr, set them to Private and no one can see them unless you publish (link) them yourself, ie on here. So unless someone stumbles on here and then clicks your pics, they are relatively safe from public view ;)
 
Correction.. you could create guest passes and share the guest pass on the forum (but it will also be available to non-members reading the forum), but I think that applies only to individual images. If you could apply it to a Set or Collection, that might be easier. I'll check.
