Flickr - size matters!

I've just migrated from photobucket to Flickr.

Question. How does one post at 800x600 out of flickr. seems to be smaller and larger sizes only. I'm obviously missing something

Well, if you upload a 800x600 image into flickr, this will be your large size under 'all sizes' - flickr does an automatic 500xwhatever as medium and 1024xwhatever as large. Hope that makes sense...

Unfortunately the default on Flickr is 1024 on the long side (plus the original if you are a pro-user). So if you want a picture with 800 on the longest side you will need to resize to this size before uploading to Flickr.
