Flickr Trends (Jan 2012)

Goes to show how easy it is to upload from phones etc, and how popular it is

You also may as well be dead if you were to leave your iphone at home, nobody would know you owned one if you didn't upload pictures shot with it, and that would never do.....cameras by comparison are not that important.
I think maybe those stats say more about the community at flickr rather than the suitability by popular choice of one camera or another.

Being stats from flickr it makes sense ;)

Interesting to see Canon control the P&S sector on flickr.... wonder how long it'll be before P&S cameras totally fall victim to the increase in tech on mobiles?

Flickr has over 80 million unique tags? These stats are interesting & pretty amazing.

That made me wonder until I realised it likely includes huge numbers of proper nouns - place and people names. Nonetheless, it certainly is an amazing figure.

Interesting read there mate, I guess the amount of people who set up a flickr who don't even own a proper point and shoot, let alone a DSLR makes it seem more logical.

I'm half suprised half not suprised by that, I guess a lot of people just use flickr to host, and don't enjoy the social side of it.

Apple is quickly revolutionising the way we photo too! By the way, is the fact that the D90 is popular anything to go by purchase wise?

I had to laugh the No Pants Subway was 2nd most popular trending topic in January!
