Just been reading, You can sell if Getty images contact you through flickr...Not much chance of that though

Agreed that Getty are highly unlikely to come knocking! However, I have been contacted by several subjects I have photographed asking for copies, and also a couple of companies. Flickr seems to be very good for having your images catalogued on Google, so while you're not permitted to sell from it, it seems a good way to attract attention to your photography - so long as it's of good quality and well-tagged.

I have just started a Flickr account and i'm quite impressed with it. Can you sell your images on it via paypal or set it up for selling images.

You can't sell directly, but as stated above, sometimes you might be contacted regarding a possible usage of an image so it's always good to have tags on your images.

Also how do i get my flickr to appear below my posts?

I assume you mean signature? Along the top menu, click on User CP, then edit signature along the left menu and link it from there.

You will find you are contacted by people or companies requesting images, but most expect them for nothing or maybe just a credit. It seems a fair few cheapskates that don't even want to pay royalty free prices trawl Flickr for 'free' images. I've had many requests that go quiet as soon as payment is mentioned, having only sold 2 for a fair rate. Unless you want your images lifted without permission, keep your images small and select © all rights reserved.
