As long as you have them set to be downloadble, yes.
Or you should be able to save the whole page and extract the Jpg later on.

Cheer guys,I'm not very bright, but at least my mum is letting me take the stabilisers off my bike.
Once again thanks.

even if the laptop is dead, you should still be able to retrieve the contents of the hard drive. (as long as it's not in the river or burnt in a fire :geek:)

happened to me and it was a cinch (for the guy who looks after my network) he just copied the lot over to a portable drive

yeah even if the harddrive has supposedly packed in, there are 'tricks' to give it life again temporarily, like putting it in the freezer.

Thanks again ,going to drop it in to my local geek shack this weekend.

Don't you find this soooo frustrating when this happens?

Happened to me a couple of years back. I always back up my images now, and try and keep them stored on a flickr pro account also.

Not sure they is any bomb proof, absolutely garentee'd storage solution though. Is there?

Yes, 3 portable harddrives, 1 kept off site.

Mobile uploads are fine for one or two, but I wouldn't want to upload 100's GB's on to a server.

To the OP, do you have a standard or Pro account ? Life tends to be much easier with the Pro account.

Nothing quite so bad, but my laptop is now only giving me about 5 mins on the battery. It's fine when on the PSU, but it's 5 years old so I guess i have no hope of a replacement battery. Anyways, as soon as I get another job I'm getting a MBP to go with my iMac. Can't stand the windows stuff any more.

Any tips for doing this? Have a drive out of the girlfriends old laptop that I've put in an enclosure and it just makes noises (whirs for a few seconds, then pauses and repeats. May be it spinning but its quieter than I would expect), but not recognised by computer (had it on Mac and Windows, Windows says USB device not recognised).

Its an old drive with nothing important on it so not going to go to great lengths but any little tricks would be good to try. More for curiosity about whats on there really.

Hi jelster
No just the standard account, maybe upgrade later, but as other posters have stated ,no excuse really ,back up,back up,then back up again, learnt a valuable lesson.
