I've always been fascinated by those heat detection cameras you see on wildlife programmes etc and while looking for eneloop prices for a thread response, I was visiting Rapid Electonics' site where I saw this http://www.rapidonline.com/Tools-Eq...540/?sid=4e6c7891-920d-4972-bd5b-3a7f76a76c07 . At £1260 though, it's a bit too much for a tou but I have to admit that I'm sorely tempted! Has anyone got a similar tool or used one?

Yep - used one quite a lot in my previous company. Fixed (mounted on an enlarger type setup) rather than a mobile one so a bit limited in what could be stuck underneath it!

I had a few requests by people wanting to take it home to check out the quality of the insulation in their lofts, but they went a bit pale when I told them it would be fine, as long as they were willing to buy a new one if they dropped it. The first model we had was ~£26k... The second one was much cheaper and much better. £13k IIRC.
