Flower ID please

Hi. anyone know what type of flower this is. I've tried searching the int but nothing found remotely like it yet.

The stem and leaf shapes resemble something from the lily family. Maybe have a look at different lily varieties online and see if there's anything that fits.

Was this a cut flower from a bouquet or something growing in the garden?

Probably worth taking a print of the photo into a good florist for an ID of the flower.

It was in a supermarket bunch.

You could put it on one of the flickr groups threads - I do that when I'm not sure of a flower/insect/bird/whatever and normally get replies quite quickly!

Well, it seems that my specimen was quite a dead one. But the bunch had a protea in too (again, not a perfect specimen) which was interesting.

There are some amazing varieties of both. I've been and bought some yellow proteas to photo too.

This was the one from my previous bunch.
