I Like the yellow against the blue.
A couple of suggestions...
I think it needs more DoF to bring the back flower in focus.
There is some interesting texture in the wood.
Were you interested in the wood or the flowers?
If it's the flowers try to find some in front of the branch.

Was going for more the texture of the wood, but I see what you mean. If I get the rear flower in focus as much as possible. Wont change the rest of the pic much, but should add a little more to the small section that is in focus. DoF is b*gg*r to get right
