Not much. I probably cut about 10-20% of the original to get this.

I've failed so many times with butterflies, because they either fly off or turn around as soon as I get close, but this one decided he wanted to play nicely. Also I've found that if you focus from a distance, and then creep up of them they're less likely to get spooked and fly out of shot than if you get close first and then bring the camera up to your face (y)

Speedlite makes a big difference as well to macro pics. I put the 350D on manual and dialled in ISO100, 1/200 and F14 and then let the flash decide what it needed.
