Focus screen, dull side up or down?

I bought an Olympus OM10 from a charity shop (second buy this week) The focus screen needs to be refitted, a straight forward job. However, which way should it go, dull side up or down?

Google comes up with conflicting answer!!

I'd rather get it right first time. It's a straightforward but fiddly.

Shiny side is down on both my OM1s and OM4 and also on a scrap OM30 I have.

I've never had an OM10, but I can't see it being any different.

From what I recall, the ground glass (matt side) faces the lens and the shiny side (or fresnel rings) face your eye.

The Olympus OM10 Repair Manual says that the matte side (or "matted face") faces the pentaprism, so the shiny side faces the lens, as Sky has noted.

It is indeed shiny side down. OM10 now up and running.
