Focus select button not working on 5D MKII

Guys,

Any ideas on this one!

When I press the focus point selection button on my 5D MKII nothing happens. When I look through the view finder and half press shutter button a random focus point is selected.

Just started while doing a shoot a couple of nights ago! Havent seen this before.

Any ideas!?

I have tried it on the grip and on the main body! Havent tried it without the grip! I'll try that later when I get home! Thanks!
 
Turn the switch of on your grip and then on again, my grip does funky things now and again.

Make sure that your centre point focus is set on :D
 
Check your settings - I have mine set so that the focus select button sets it to use all focus points, and then the little joystick controller directly sets individual focus points.

Means that I can with a single button push select any (or all) focus points.

It sounds like when you're pressing the focus select button it is selecting to use all focus points and so appears to be a random one when you try to focus.
