Had a little visitor today...only about 1cm long or so (including legs).



I'd have like to have had a better angle on him/her, but he/she was a fast little bugger!

It stayed still enough (eventually) for me to grab 11 frames at different focal points. Helicon Focus did the processing, then a little bit of brightness/colour tweaking in PS.

Did you use all 11 frames? I've not tried focus-stacking on close-ups yet, are there any limits on he number of frames that can be used?

As far as I know, the only limit would be the limitation of your PC in terms of memory and processor. The more frames, the longer it takes/more memory it needs.

The 30+ stacks I was doing the other night were taking 20+ mins on my old Pentium 4 box.

Yep, all 11 frames were used.
