Focusing issues on Sigma 70-200 HSM

Hey folks, Just wondering If anyone knows of any issues regarding focusing with this lens. I used it yesterday at the protest marches and it stopped all AF functions for about an hour or so then started to work fine again!!! I'm using it on a 7D. Cheers Tony

dont think there are any "known issues", best to get it to sigma for a check up (after like scott said, check the simple first)

Might be teaching you to suck eggs, but the AF switch was seated properly wasnt it? I've made that mistake before!

Perhaps it went on strike in sympathy with the protesters

Or could be a loose connection, I would see if it happens again before sending it away

Ha I too have made that mistake but yes Jim it was on and in place

Your best bet is to go out for a day shooting and testing and pushing the lens as much as you can. Test the aperture from wide open to as high as you can go, switch from manual to af and back and forth. Try and recreate the problem or at least narrow it down to where it could be
